Conestoga Greenway Updates and Information

Check here often for updates and information on the ongoing construction of the Conestoga Greenway.

General Information

The Conestoga Greenway is a 1.3 mile trail being constructed in the area of the Sunnyside peninsula in Lancaster. This trail is being constructed in partnership with the Lancaster County Conservancy, the city and township of Lancaster, the Lancaster Inter-Municipal Committee and Lancaster County. Slotted to open by mid-June of 2010, this trail will be open for passive pedestrian use, including walkers, joggers, baby strollers, birdwatchers, and bicyclists. The trail will connect via the Duke Street bridge to Lancaster County Central Park.

In addition to our partners, we are grateful to the following landowners for granting access to their land for the trail:

  • Housing Development Corporation
  • Complete Healthcare Resources
  • City of Lancaster Housing Authority
  • City of Lancaster
