Upper Hopewell Forge Wildlife Sanctuary

Descriptions:

Upper Hopewell Forge Wildlife Sanctuary is a triangular-shaped riparian buffer zone bordered by Speedwell Forge Road, Pumping Station Road and Route 322. Upper Hopewell is in close proximity to the Rannels-Kettle Run Nature Preserve. The Horseshoe trail runs down Rannels-Kettle Run and then follows the western border of this sanctuary. A dense vegetation of early successional trees and shrubs line the banks of Hammer Creek. Although this property is a great habitat for a variety of wildlife, it is also great for a multitude of invasive plants. No hunting or fishing is permitted on this property.
