Take a Hike at Welsh Mountain

Wednesday, February 27 2019 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM

Tour the Welsh Mountain Nature Preserve with Lancaster Conservancy’s Director of Land Protection, Kathie Gonick, a practicing attorney and archaeologist.

Learn about the history of the acquisition of our largest preserve (approximately 917.297 acres) and the fascinating history of the property and the region.

We will meet in the parking lot before heading out on a 2.8 mile hike on the Blue Trail (2.4 miles) to the Overlook Trail ( 0.2 miles each way, out-and-back). We will also lead an alternate 0.5 mile hike on the ADA Trail if there is interest.

Printed trail maps will be provided, but feel free to look over the trail map ahead of time!  Please wear warm clothing and sturdy shoes as we will be outside the entire time. There is no bathroom available on this preserve.

Sign up on Evitebrite today!

For any questions, please reach out to Kelly Snavely at KSnavely@lancasterconservancy.org or 717-392-7891 x207.
