Take an educational hike at Millport Conservancy to explore and learn about Lititz Run!

Join the Millport Conservancy and Lititz Run Watershed Alliance for an evening exploring the restoration of Millport Conservancy. As one of the longest established riparian restoration projects in Lancaster County you get a first hand look at a healthy trout stream. Partners will be on hand to engage visitors of all ages.

Partners You Will Meet!

  • North Museum : Overview of the streams Ecosystem and how its health helps to sustain a more vibrant community.
  • Trout Unlimited
  • Native Plant Nursery : How native plants benefit not only the natural environment, but also the built environment.
  • Lancasster County Conservataion District : Bugs and fish analysis that tells us the overall stream health of the Lititz Run.
  • Land Studies : How comprehensive regional planning and permitting provides a more holistic approach to watershed restoration.
  • Lititz Run Watershed Alliance : How the Lititz Run was reclassified from a warm water to a cold water fishery and the enhancement of the local eco-system.

Participant Safety

Participants are required to wear masks/face coverings and maintain a social distance of 6 feet from other participants, but it should be noted that the Lancaster Conservancy and its partners are not responsible for the behavior of participants regarding those requirements.

All participants will be required to sign a waiver when they arrive at the event.
