Lancaster Tree Tenders and Dart Container are organizing a riparian buffer planting on about two (2) acres along the Conestoga River. We will be planting approximately 275 trees and shrubs. Additionally, we will be doing some maintenance on the 400 trees that were planted in the Spring.

This planting is part of a Lancaster City grant “Buffering the Conestoga” that was awarded from DCNR. Plus, we are being supported by the Chesapeake Bay Foundation Keystone 10 Million Trees initiative.

Site Prep is scheduled for Friday, October 18 from 9:00am to 1:00pm. If you are able to help with the prep, please contact LancasterTreeTenders@gmail.com for additional details.

Planting Day – Saturday, October 19

Starting Time: 9:00am / volunteers should arrive approximately 8:30am

Place: Dart Products at 110 Pitney Road, Lancaster

Parking is available in the Dart parking lot. There will be directional signage to the planting location.

Bring: Shovels & mallets if you have them (make sure your name is marked on your tools) plus gloves.
