Join Lancaster Conservancy’s President, Phil Wenger, for a hike to explore the natural beauty and history of Hellam Hills!

Phil will be joined by Stephen H Smith, a retired local York author and historian with extensive knowledge about Wildcat Falls and the area we are hiking in. His story telling is remarkable.

What to Expect

Hikers will meet at the Conservancy’s Wildcat Bluff and enjoy a 3.5 mile trek with over 250 feet in elevation gain (approximately 2.5 hours) while they learn about local history and the work the Conservancy is doing to preserve this land forever.

We recommend sturdy boots, comfortable clothing appropriate for being outside for the duration of the hike, and a reusable water bottle. A restroom will be available to participants at the start and end of the hike at Wildcat Bluff.

Weather

Should the forecast call for weather conditions that would make the hike unsafe, hikers will be notified of a cancellation and refunded 24 hours prior to the event.
