The trail that follows Trout Run offers views of this beautiful tributary to Climbers Run and impressive bedrock outcrops. Keith Williams, naturalist and the Conservancy’s Community Engagement Coordinator will lead this hike, focusing on the Trout Run/Climbers Run watershed, while looking for and identifying aquatic life. This approximately 3 mile out and back hike will be mostly easy hiking with a few short steep climbs over rough terrain.

Meet at the Steinman Run Nature Preserve parking area.

Cost is $5 for adults and $2 for ages 18 and under.

Dress for the weather, with sturdy shoes for hiking.

Bring drinking water and a snack.

Participants should be age 10 and up.

Those under the age of 18 must be accompanied by a parent or guardian at all time.

All participants will be required to sign a waiver when they arrive at the event.

Weather Policy

This event will take place rain or shine! Should there be weather conditions that would make the event unsafe, staff will make a call at the time and location of the event, and the event may be canceled, modified, or delayed until the storm has passed.
