The Lancaster County Conservancy is seeking volunteers to help with a massive cleanup effort along a 3-mile stretch of floodplain on our Otter Creek Nature Preserve in York County. Please join us to pick-up and consolidate trash and debris as a result of extensive and repeat flooding events. Help us to keep this scenic preserve safe and beautiful.

Due to trail and preserve conditions along the creek we are seeking volunteers age 18 and older. Volunteers will focus on cleaning up trash and debris such as plastics and metal objects along the floodplain. Please bring your own gloves, a water bottle, a packed lunch if you are staying through the day; and hand pruners or loppers in the event trash is trapped behind debris. Dress for weather conditions and use precaution as trails may be slippery or strewn with hidden debris this time of year.
Extra gloves, trash bags, and limited supplies will be available for use. Water and refreshments will be provided. Join us for as little or as long as you like.
