Pequea Nature Preserve highlights a variety of native species including oaks, blueberries, ferns and other acidic loving plants on scenic wooded slopes. A unique feature of this preserve is Wind Cave (also known as Cold Cave for consistent near freezing temperatures year round), one of the largest tectonic (fault) caves in the eastern United States. In addition to this amazing geologic feature this preserve connects a trail past the House Rock and Reed Run Preserves nearly to Tucquan Glen. This trail links to the Conestoga Trail System.

This nature preserve is closed to hunting.
