It has been 50 years since the Clean Water Act was passed, and the quality of our rivers and streams has improved, but continue to face significant challenges, and freshwater life remains some of the most imperiled on the planet. In this Nature Hour we will explore the state of our rivers and streams from two perspectives: First Jeremy Monroe, Director of Freshwaters Illustrated, an organization dedicated to raising public awareness about the life, study and conservation of freshwater ecosystems through immersive visual media and stories. Ted Evgeniadis is the Lower Susquehanna Riverkeeper and will bring a local perspective to the conversation.
